Welcome to Glasgow!

Our Glasgow branch has been a veterinary practice for more than 70 years and was once owned by famous vet Harry Pfaff

Our large and spacious Glasgow branch has been a veterinary practice since the 1940’s and was once owned and run by famous vet, Harry Pfaff. When Harry retired in 2000 the practice was taken over by a corporate group for a short period of time, until Stephen acquired it in 2003.

Our Glasgow surgery is near Ibrox, close to the famous Rangers football ground on the Paisley Road West, and not far from the City Centre. If you arrive by car there is plenty of convenient on-street parking. We are close to Cessnock and Kinning Park subway stations and you are allowed to bring your cat on the tube (but sadly not your dog).  If you are lost and running late, dont worry! Give us a call on 0141 427 0848 or 1080 and we will guide you in! We are also happy to advise you on which taxis are pleased to carry animals.

Thanks to the room our Glasgow branch offers – it’s spread across two floors – we are able to offer a separate waiting area for anxious animals. So if your pet doesn’t particularly enjoy visits to see us, we’ll be more than happy to accommodate their needs.

“As well as offering a wide range of comprehensive services, at our Glasgow branch, your pet can also look forward to being pampered at The Grooming Room which is located downstairs.”

Ann - Head Groomer

Should your pet ever require blood or urine testing, our in-house laboratory means we are able to get important results back to you quickly; in serious cases, within a matter of minutes.

We are also able to offer operations at our Glasgow branch, including soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures, dental work, diagnostic radiography, ultrasound and ECG.

As with our other surgeries, the professional and experienced team at our Glasgow surgery are the heart and soul of our practice. If you ever have a question or concern regarding your pet, please don’t hesitate to speak with a member of our friendly staff.

For more information about our Glasgow branch, or to book an appointment for your pet, please get in touch. For emergency cases please call 01355 220012.

BY GLASGOW UNDERGROUND: Please note that dogs are not allowed on the subway. Cats are allowed to travel if secured in a proper cat carrier or basket. Alight at Cessnock underground station (6th stop from Buchannan Street on the inner circle). After exiting the station, turn left and walk in the direction. You may also alight at Kinning Park station and walk across the park in the direction of Paisley Road West - we are opposite, slightly to the left.

BY CAR: On the M8 from the city take J24 off M8 after going over Kingston Bridge (signposted to Paisley). At the end of the slip road turn left and left again at the roundabout. Pass Helen Street police station on your left and go over the traffic lights by the M8. Look out for the Cessnock parade of shops on your left about a mile after the traffic lights (note the C0-op and then the tube station). About 200 yards past the shops and underground station you will see the surgery on the left with its blue railings, before the District Bar.

BY BUS: Arriva buses arriving from the city centre alight at the 'District Bar' on Paisley Road West and walk approximately 100 metres in the direction away from the city centre. For the inner/outer circle routes (First Buses) alight at Harvey Street or Lorne Street, walk up to the main road and walk approximately 100 metres along Paisley Road West away from the city centre direction.
